Plan the unit count.

OSHA sets minimum toilet and washing-facility counts for jobsites, while ADA requirements and contract terms determine accessible units. Give us the headcount, schedule, and site use, and we'll confirm the mix before delivery.

OSHA 29 CFR 1926.51 requirements.

20 workers or fewer: At least 1 toilet on site.
20 or more: 1 toilet seat and 1 urinal per 40 workers.
200 or more: 1 toilet seat and 1 urinal per 50 workers.
Working jobsites often need more than the minimum. Plan about 1 unit per 10–15 people for a full workday.
Events use a different planning ratio: About 1 unit per 50 guests over a 2-4-hour window. Add units for alcohol, food, or extended hours.

Plan handwashing and accessible units.

OSHA requires washing facilities for employees on site. Sanitizer supplements soap and water but is not a replacement for them.
1 handwash station beside every toilet bank is the working rule; food handling gets its own dedicated station.
ADA-accessible units in every bank on site. Where the standards apply, 5% of the units in a cluster must be accessible.

When Something Goes Wrong

A full tank triggers an off-schedule pump-out.

LDR adds a pump-out or changes the service schedule when usage exceeds the original plan.

A damaged unit is inspected and replaced.

Each visit includes a condition check. A unit that fails the check is removed and replaced.

Add units as headcount or site coverage changes.

The contact who placed the order can add units for more trades, a larger event, or another location and place them on the same service schedule.

FAQs.

Is there a difference between a porta potty, a portable toilet, and a portable restroom?

Porta potty and portable toilet refer to the same self-contained unit, which needs no plumbing or power and is rented with weekly service. Portable sanitation is the broader category for toilets, restroom trailers, and handwash stations.

What's the difference between a deluxe and a standard unit?

The shell and the size are the same; the fixtures inside are not. A deluxe unit adds a fresh-water sink and a sanitizer dispenser at the door for upscale events and long-term projects.

When do I need ADA-accessible units?

Units provided for use only by construction personnel on a construction site are outside section 213 of the 2010 ADA Standards. Everywhere else, where single-user portable units are clustered at one location, 5% of the units in each cluster have to meet section 603. Contracts often name a count of their own. Flag it when you book so the units are part of the delivery, rather than a second trip after an inspection.

Do the toilets work through winter?

Standard units run through winter on cold-rated tank additives, with a service interval matched to the season and the climate. Deluxe units carry fresh water, so for a hard freeze we move the schedule or provide a heated restroom trailer instead.

How much does a portable toilet rental cost?

What are the rental periods?

Rentals are available by the day, week, or month. We set the service schedule when you book, so a month-long rental does not require a separate work order for each visit.

Can I get extra cleaning during the rental?

Yes. Additional cleaning and servicing are available when usage exceeds what the standard visit covers, including higher shift counts, longer events, or heavier-than-planned traffic.

What happens to the waste?

It's pumped out on every visit and transported to a licensed wastewater treatment facility. Holding tanks serving trailers are pumped on the same schedule as the units around them.

How fast can you deliver, and can you cover more than one site?
